Meadows Trail
Starting in the Meadows neighborhood at Pine Mountain Resort, just up the road from where Adams Ranch Road crosses Prospect Creek and 0.5 mile west of Big Billie’s Apartments, this one-mile loop trail drops 200 feet to the Lawson Hill neighborhood and Highway 32.

Big Billie's Trail
Beginning on the south side of the Country club Drive in Pine Mountain Resort, this refreshing 0.5 mile trail winds down 200 feet and ends at Big Billie’s apartments in the Meadows neighborhood.

Jurassic Trail
This scenic one mile trail begins on the north side of country Club Drive in Pine Mountain Resort and to the left of the Boomerang Trailhead (see below), then follows the ridge west and down 300 feet into the Meadows neighborhood.

Boomerang Trail
Beginning on the north side of Country club Drive in Pine Mountain Resort and to the right of the Jurassic Trailhead (see above), this steep one-mile trial descends through the Three Sisters Wilderness to the valley floor. Expect a 700-foot elevation change.

Alta Lakes Trail
Alta Lakes Road is 6 miles south of Telluride on Hwy. 145. Take the left-hand turn, and stay on the main road for 4 miles to reach the ghost town of Alta. To get to the lakes, turn right at the town and follow the signs to Alta Lakes. High-clearance vehicles recommended.
Boomerang Trail, which can be accessed from either Prospect Trail or Basin Trail, follows a Forest Service road approximately two miles to scenic Alta Lakes and the historic mining town of Alta.
The Alta Lakes area is managed by the USFS.

Basin Trail
Starting at Station St., travel to the Sheridan Fork taking the left trail near the snowmaking storage ponds and gate for six miles on ski area service roads. Enjoy 2,240 feet of steep climbs and descents, past the base of Lift 14, over Prospect Creek, past Lift 12, over Cropsey Creek, and down through the ski area. Connects with Prospect Trail. Vehicles may be encountered along this route.

Bilk Creek Trail
This three-hour loop follows alongside Bilk Creek, through meadows and views of waterfalls.
Start at trailhead on Sunshine Mesa at road #623. Walk for about 15 minutes and then turn right at the signpost. You will walk downhill, cross the creek and when you meet another signpost turn left.
Walk up the creek for 1 ½ hours, and cross the creek again. (You can make the hike much longer by going on straight ahead to Lizard Head Trail). After crossing the creek walk along the contour back to the trailhead. This hike can also be done the other way around which has less uphill climbs.

Blue Lakes Trail
Access from the top of Bridal Veil Falls. Approximately 4 hours round trip covering 5 1/4 miles with an elevation gain of 2,000 feet. This is a spectacular wildflower hike which ends above tree-line at the lake.
From the top of the falls, stay on the road and pass a tin roofed shed where the road switches upward, sharply to the left, away from the creek. Blue Lake is an hour from this shed. Continue walking on the main road, when you come to a “Y”, take the left toward the pointed pyramid shaped mountain in the skyline. Walk up a rocky road beside a sometimes wet, dark rock wall to another “Y”. Go right, toward the three-needled pyramid shaped peak ahead.

Prospect Trail
Ten miles in length, the longest single-track trail on the ski area that starts from Station St. and traverses across ski trails under Lifts 4 and 5 into Prospect Basin. Pass near the bottom of Lift 12 and through thick spruce fir forest to Rockslide Ridge and Lift 11. Take the upper loop through Prospect Basin or a shortcut past the teepee and the top of Lift 10 before heading back down into Pine Mountain Resort.
Connect with Boomerang Trail to Alta Ghost Town and scenic Alta Lakes for a longer adventure.

Hope Lake Trail
Seven miles round trip plus driving on dirt road to trail head. Access is along Hwy 145 about 20 minutes south of Telluride. Take the turn for Trout Lake, follow the road past the lake for 1.5 miles and look out for Forest Service Road #627. Vehicle with some clearance recommended. Follow FS #627 for multiple switchbacks until you reach a USFS sign and parking area - this is the trailhead.
